Privacy Policy — Golf Skins

Golf Skins ("the app") is a scorekeeper for friendly golf "skins" games. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. The app does not process payments; players settle any wagers among themselves outside the app.

Information we collect

Account info: if you create an account, your email address and a display name. Passwords are stored only as a secure one-way hash.
Guest play: if you continue as a guest, we store only a display name you choose — no email.
Game data: games you create or join, hole results, and standings.

We do not collect payment information, precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers.

How we use it

To provide the core features: creating/joining games, scoring, results, and (for registered users) match history.
To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
To send a password-reset email if you request one.

How it's stored and shared

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure (database and API hosting) protected in transit by HTTPS. We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for advertising. Other players in a game you join can see your display name and the game's results.

Data retention & deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account. This removes your account and personal data. Games you previously created remain visible to other players, with your identity removed. Guest data is discarded when you sign out.

Children

Golf Skins is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
